Our Mission

The Student Resource Center (SRC) offers comprehensive support to students, covering university policies, academic coaching, mentoring, and community connections to aid in successful postsecondary education completion. With a focus on basic needs, food assistance, and tailored resources for students with families, first-generation and non-traditional students, the SRC aims to educate, connect, and motivate students while providing essential support services and fostering a supportive campus environment.

SMART Defense

Self defense seminar presented by the Elizabeth Smart Foundation. Pre-registration and waiver required. Free to students. Class size is limited. Register using Smart Defense link and complete the Utah Tech waiver. UT WaiverBoth documents must be completed to participate. On the UT Waiver enter the receipt email of dru.bottoms@utahtech.edu.

Blazer Pantry

The Blazer Pantry, located in the Browning Building #103, is the campus food pantry available to all faculty, staff, and students experiencing food insecurity.  Food insecurity is defined as those with uncertain access to nutritious and safe food because of a lack of money and/or resources. The Come & Get It program is a resource to support students while reducing food waste across campus.  This is a free service allowing students to receive a text notification when extra meals are available from catered events on campus. Register using the link below.

Legal Clinic

Food Pantry Wish List

The Student Resource Center helps students with basic needs and food assistance. Financial donations can be made using the link at the top of the page. Donations can be general or for specific programs such as childcare for students and food insecurity. Food Pantry donations are also accepted. Listed below are high need wish list items for students. Mothers Rooms

Mother’s Rooms are available on campus for students, faculty, and staff. These facilities are located in Taylor Health bldg. #318 (east of elevator on level 3), Holland bldg. #409 (south elevator on level 4), Human Performance Center #007 (lower floor near climbing wall), and Science, Engineering, and Technology bldg. #537 (5th floor near elevator). Once access is granted, any of the Mother’s Rooms can be used. Kindly contact the Student Resource Center at 435-879-4489 or dru.bottoms@utahtech.edu for access.

Utah Department of Workforce Services

Need help with education or training? The Utah Department of Workforce Services has resources available to assist qualifying individuals with financial assistance and one-on-one counseling. Additional assistance is available for Medicaid, SNAP benefits, and other state programs.

A representative is on campus weekly from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm in Browning #108.

DOVE Center Support

The DOVE Center provides an advocate on Utah Tech campus each week to assist with sexual assault and domestic violence resources and support. For the Spring 2024 semester the advocate is on campus Wednesdays, 1pm – 3pm, Browning #108.
