Welcome to the Women’s Resource Center
Our goal is to facilitate access to resources, mentoring, and scholarships available to women across the disciplines. We organize campus events with professional resource speakers and work with community partners to offer additional support. Our overall mission is to help women achieve their academic and professional goals.

AAUW Scholarship Opportunity: DUE March 1, 2019
The American Association of University Women – St. George Branch (AAUW-SGB) advances equity for women and girls in southern Utah through philanthropy, advocacy, and education. They are delighted to have raised enough money this year to award $1,000-$3,000 scholarships to deserving students (whether full-time or part-time). Entering, current and returning women DSU students, who are Utah Residents may apply. Awards are based on financial need and ability to finish. A 2.5 GPA is required to apply. All applications, letters of reference, and transcripts should be submitted no later than the March 1, 2019. January 22 until supplies last: GladRags, an eco-friendly company, is offering a one-time free cloth pantyliner to DSU students. This offer is also supported by DSU Sustainability and the Women’s Resource Center. For more information, please click on this link.
January 23 – April 24, 2019: DOVE Advocacy Service through WRC in which the DOVE Center provides advocacy for survivors of sexual assault through the DSU Women’s Resource Center every Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m. in Holland Centennial Commons 489.

DSU Scholarship Associates
DSU Scholarship Associates awards 10 to 12 scholarships to qualified applicants. All applicants must be full-time students working toward a Bachelors’ Degree at DSU.

DSU High Impact Student Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to improve student success by providing financial assistance to DSU students participating in high impact practices. These high impact practices could entail the following: study abroad, career tours, undergraduate research, internships, experiential learning, alternative fall and spring breaks, presenting at conferences, etc. Students who participate in these types of activities can apply for a scholarship that will cover no more than 50% of the total cost with a maximum amount of $500. The deadlines for scholarship applications are: October 15th, November 15th, February 15th and April 15th.
- Students must be enrolled in at least 12 credits
- Students must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA

DSU Women’s Resource Center received a grant award from the Utah Women’s Giving Circle on Body Image Literacy Project last January 2016 in SLC.
